Archilas for Slack

Give Cursor, Claude Code, and your other AI agents what your team decided in Slack. Archilas reads every channel, direct message, and group message you are in, and never posts anything.

What Archilas reads

Archilas reads every message in every Slack channel you are in, public and private, plus your direct messages and group messages, and the names of the people who wrote them. It reads as you, so it sees only what you can see in Slack. It cannot see channels you have not joined. There is no way to pick only some channels yet.

It first copies your recent history, then keeps up as new messages arrive. If a message is edited or deleted in Slack, Archilas updates or removes its copy.

Why

Archilas reads Slack so your AI agents can answer from what your team said in Slack, with a link back to each message. Everyone in your Archilas workspace, and the AI tools they connect, can search what you connect, so connect a Slack account whose messages they may see.

What it never does

  • Archilas never posts, edits, reacts to, or deletes anything in Slack.
  • It never shares your Slack messages with another Archilas workspace, sells them, or uses them to train AI.

How to stop

To stop, open Connectors in Archilas and choose Disconnect on Slack. That deletes everything Archilas copied from Slack. The privacy policy has the details.

Permissions requested

All are read-only Slack user-token scopes.

  • channels:read, groups:read: List the public and private channels you are a member of.
  • channels:history, groups:history: Read messages in those channels.
  • im:read, im:history: List and read your direct messages.
  • mpim:read, mpim:history: List and read your group direct messages.
  • users:read: Show the names of the people who wrote each message.

Install

  1. Sign up free at archilas.com. No card is needed.
  2. In the dashboard, open Connectors, find Slack, and choose Connect. Archilas shows what it will read; choose Continue to Slack.
  3. Slack shows the permissions above. Check that the right Slack workspace is selected, then choose Allow. Archilas starts importing recent messages from your channels and direct messages.
  4. In Settings → API keys, create a key. It is shown once.
  5. Add Archilas to your AI client over MCP. For Claude Code, run:
    claude mcp add --transport http archilas https://www.archilas.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer ak_live_…"
    For Cursor, put this in ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "archilas": {
          "url": "https://www.archilas.com/api/mcp",
          "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ak_live_…" }
        }
      }
    }
    Replace ak_live_… with your key. Other MCP clients are in the docs.
  6. Ask your agent something your team settled in Slack, such as “What did we decide about the launch date?”

Uninstall

  1. In Archilas, open Connectors and choose Disconnect on Slack. This immediately deletes every Slack message Archilas copied, deletes the stored token, and revokes it with Slack.
  2. Optionally, in Slack, remove Archilas from your workspace’s app management page. Slack then stops all access too.

To delete everything, including your account, use Settings → Delete all my data. See Support for details.
